Language and Technology for Teachers
Development of communication skills in English language: listening, speaking, reading and writing including the utilization of computers for data gathering, investigation and analysis on the role of language and technology in the development of learning in lifelong education.
Curriculum Development
The course includes the study of the philosophy of education and educational trends and theories, the educational system and its management in the past and the present, Thailand's vision and educational development plans, curriculum development theories, problems and trends in curriculum development, educational standards, and standards of curriculum in each educational level.
Psychology for Teachers
The course discusses general psychology concerned with the nature, growth, and development of the learner and the application of psychological theories, principles, and concepts to support individual learning potentials. The course also introduces and utilizes concepts and activities on guidance and counseling that will enhance the development of the learner.
Educational Measurement and Evaluation
A study of the principles of educational measurement and evaluation. Topics include the strategies used in educational measurement and evaluation including the test and test construction and the use of anecdotal records and performance-based evaluation tools to evaluate the application of knowledge and skills in real-life situation.
Self-Actualization for Teachers
This course is focused on the recognition of the teaching profession and the importance of teachers, their role and responsibilities including the desirable characteristics of teachers as professionals and academic leaders who will develop faith in the learners through the integration of the philosophy of education, religion, personality development, and career values. The professional ethics for teachers and other laws related to the practice of teaching will also be discussed.
Management of Learning
An overview of the principles, concepts, and theories of educational management including topics on educational leadership, organizational culture, human relations in organization, and quality assurance in education through scientific management of academic and vocational programs, information management, and community development.
Discussion on the science and art of management of learning including the management of the teaching and learning process, classroom management, teaching methods and strategies, preparation of the lesson plan, designing learning experiences for the holistic development of the learner, construction and utilization of instructional media, and assessment of learning,
Educational Research
Provides the students with basic information on educational research to enable them to conduct their own research study in their own classroom setting. Research models on different research designs with the appropriate statistical tools will be presented so that students will be able to utilize research findings to solve educational problems. The application of research skills through writing and presenting research proposals focused on educational problems and concerns following a prescribed format.
Innovation and Information Technology in Education.
Innovations in education including a study of theories and principles in the use of information technology in problem analysis and research to promote quality learning. Topics on proper selection, construction and adaptation of information technology in education will be discussed.
Practicum in Professional Education
Exposure to the educational organization by observing and participating in the preparation of the lesson plan, through observation, interviews, data collection, analysis and presentation, preparation of lesson plan, preparation and development of curriculum and participation in the preparation of the academic program
