UEC was founded in 2001 to enable institutions, corporations as well as qualified individuals to connect with appropriate educational facilities and programs in the United States, Asia and Europe. Our motto Progressus per Educationem (Progress through Education) underlines our strong belief that education is the driving force behind progress, be it organizational or personal. UEC makes this progress possible in a variety of ways:

- We provide professional development opportunities for international teachers and school administrators in Thailand and South East Asia through the State University of New York at Buffalo graduate program for international educators

- We are licensed by the Thai Ministry of Education and Teacher Council Thailand (TCT) to teach the 20-hour Thai Language, Culture and Ethics course required by the TCT for anybody wanting to teach in Thailand.

- We train primarily native English speakers in the basics and advanced theoretical and practical skills of teaching English as a foreign language at The TEFL Institute, and place competent teachers in schools and with private corporations

- We enable native English speaking undergraduate degree holders to have a life changing overseas teaching experience by working or volunteering at schools in Thailand for a duration from three months to one year or longer.

- We provide direct English language training to individuals and corporations interested in becoming fluent English speakers through United Language School (ULS) in Bangkok, Thailand

- We are completing the creation of the Progress through Education Foundation (PTEF). Details to follow soon.
